Celebrating women entrepreneurs by promoting women-inspired products

Giftit Women, an on-line boutique, celebrates women entrepreneurs by promoting women inspired products. Founder Audrie Eidson has created a unique retail site that sells gifts and accessories for women by women. Ms. Eidson, formerly VP of Global Accounts for Aquent and for the last four years a stay-at-home-mom, got the idea after seeing many of her friends create unique products for women. “I see so many incredible women creating fabulous products that I wanted to create a channel for these women to bring their products to the marketplace,” states Ms. Eidson.

The business started with securing a few product lines from a couple of close friends and the idea quickly spring-boarded. “Shortly after I started representing a ladies’ line of golf and tennis accessories to retail stores, other friends asked me to sell their product as well. I quickly realized that all of these were entrepreneurial women seeking to gain market exposure,” states Ms. Eidson.

After researching the internet and scouring gift shows, Ms. Eidson found many other small women-owned businesses with stylish products. “I hope to not only service the designers by promoting their products, but also service the community by making them aware of these products and offering an easy way to purchase them.”

GiftitWomen.com now has a complete line of gifts and accessories for women. The site carries items such as perfume, jewelry, handbags and baby gifts. Every month a “gifted woman” is featured on the site with her products and biography. “These women are so impressive. They have been a true inspiration to me and hopefully will be to other women.”
